2008 part 1
2008 has been pretty crazy! I started off the year in the last 6 months as an elected Student Trustee to the Foothill De Anza Community College District Board of Education. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! It really pushed me deeper into the local political scene.
In February, I started working on the Paul Fong for State Assembly campaign. Though I was only a volunteer, I worked hard and was loyally working every week. Paul Fong was a trustee on the Foothill De Anza Board while I served as Student Trustee so it was very much a pleasure working for his campaign to become our next State Assemblyman. It was tough work, but it opened me up to local politics and It taught me a great deal.
I then joined two local club organizations within the Santa Clara Democratic Party, the Silicon Valley LGBT Dems, and the Silicon Valley Young Democrats.
In June, right after Paul Fong won the Democratic Nomination for our State Assembly (he was almost guarenteed a win in the November race against the absolutely unknown Republican candidate. Fortunantely no Republican has a chance in this area) I became the Field Director/Campaign Manager for a local Santa Clara School Board race which was fun and taught me alot. I attended multiple political events and fundraisers, and starting to meet even more people in local politics.
After the November elections towards the end of November and beginning of December, with the win of Barack Obama as President and a run-off US Senate election in Georgia, I decided to go to Georgia to help out with getting Obama the 60th vote in the US Senate, with my friend Omar.
I really had an amazing experience! It was my first experience and it was very stressful but it was worth it. I wish some things came out of the trip a little different but people make mistakes.
This year I have really met some of the most amazing people! There is someone that I truely have feelings for and though I doubt that will ever work out, I want them to know that I care deeply for them and would do anything for them! I have been super depressed lately but I will work on it and hopefully nothing changes too much between us. I have one of the biggest crushes and I dont know how to let it go even though I probably should.

2008 has been a CRAZY year!
Wow! Its kind of crazy how fast a year goes by! Its already the end of 2008, and in the first time of my life I have had quite a few life changing experiences all in one entire year. I look back at this year with amazement! It has been such a rewarding year with tons of changes in my life. I want to share some of those highlights from this past year!
Since I am sure this is going to take some time to do, and the fact that I am in the middle of finals, I will work on it when I can.
I might even have periodic updates of how the year has been so i can keep you all coming back!
